Angelita Graham, FCIA, AccBD, MBA, FSA, is a Partner at Mercer Canada, where she leads more than 500 colleagues and advises organizations on complex workforce, pension, and risk issues. Recognized for her steady leadership and practical, forward-looking approach, she brings clarity and collaboration to complex challenges.
Angelita’s actuarial path began at the University of the West Indies and was influenced early on by the guidance of Daisy Coke, a pillar of the Caribbean actuarial community. Following postgraduate studies in the UK, Angelita established her career in Canada, where she has built a long-standing record of leadership, innovation, and commitment to helping organizations and people thrive.
For nearly two decades, she has contributed to the Canadian actuarial profession through leadership roles spanning education, governance, and standards of practice. Her longstanding service was recognized with the CIA Award of Excellence in 2020. Beyond the profession, Angelita serves on the Board of Governors of the Royal Ontario Museum and is Vice-Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, contributing her expertise in oversight, risk, and organizational stewardship to one of Canada’s leading cultural institutions.
Angelita was President of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) for the year 2025-26. She is passionate about positioning actuarial skills for the future, with an emphasis on emerging skills and technologies, and elevating the CIA’s voice in public policy.
Angelita encourages future actuaries to stay curious and embrace opportunities that broaden their perspective, believing these experiences help shape purposeful and resilient leaders.
