A founding and managing partner of Pink Larkin, a labour law firm, Ron has a legal career spanning more than 50 years. Over the course of his practice, he has represented clients in all aspects of labour and employment law, and in matters of employee benefits and pensions.
In 1970, Ron received a bachelor’s degree from Acadia University. He holds a bachelor of law from Dalhousie University and a master of law from the University of London. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1991 and is a Fellow of the American Association for Justice.
Ron has represented the clients of Pink Larkin in appearances before labour relations boards, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, provincial and federal courts, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Having developed and maintained one of the largest pension and benefits law practices in Canada, Ron was a member of the expert advisory Nova Scotia Pension Review Panel and chair of the National Hockey League Players’ Association Advisory Committee.
